The benefits of waterproof flooring
At Blue Springs Carpet & Tile, we firmly
believe that everyone should have waterproof flooring, no matter what. It gives you the ultimate peace of mind;
there are apparent causes of excess water, such as appliance floods, but even
the so-called more minor issues such as toppled glasses, spills, or even soggy
towels dragged in the pool, aren't such a big deal anymore. It's stylish with a
countless number of functions that make it the ideal choice.
The highest level of moisture protection
Sometimes referred to as waterproof vinyl flooring, this is thicker and more
durable than other vinyl versions. It is
constructed of 100% waterproof materials so it can be either submerged or
spilled on. Wood-plastic composite (WPC) and stone plastic composite (SPC) are
rigid, technologically advanced cores that won't peel or ripple no matter how
much water there is or for how long.
A water-resistant
flooring means that it repels liquid, but it needs to be wiped quickly.
Otherwise, it can break through and soak the core. Both WPC and SPC offer the same
high level of protection, but WPC is
warmer and more resistant, while SPC is rigid, much like a hard surface.
You can have the trending wood look floors anywhere in the house, including the wet, steamy and humid bathroom, but you can also have that if you prefer stone or tile. A newer version of luxury vinyl has the same high-end design with images inspired by nature and taken with digital photography. The floors have micro beveling and embossing to add depth, design, and textured appearances, and the material can be cut into planks or groutable squares.
